Our Mission
Agate Project is a registered charity that offers a range of education opportunities for professionals, researchers and students based in Africa in the field of earth and planetary sciences.
Our History
Starting in 2006, a team of researchers at the Institute de Recherche pour Le Developpement in Toulouse founded a research and capacity building network the West African exploration initiative with a focus on the tectonics and metallogenesis of West Africa. As the demand for training and research opportunities has only increased, we have launched a registered charity based in Perth, Australia to undertake and develop these activities.
